Firocoxib is a veterinary prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for dogs used to control pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis or associated with soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery. Beef flavor. Chewable tablets are scored for easy/accurate dosing. The recommended dosage of Firocoxib for oral administration in dogs is 2.27 mg/lb. (5.0 mg/kg) body weight once daily. Firocoxib chewable tablets can be administered with or without food. Due to tablet sizes and scoring, dogs weighing less than 12.5 lb. (5.7 kg) cannot be accurately dosed.
